Mr. Cooney received both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California, School of Medicine. His continued interest in the biomechanics of the human form led him to a certification in both prosthetics and orthotics from the University of California Los Angeles. His multiple credentials of Registered Physical Therapist and Certified Prosthetist Orthotist have allowed him to provide exemplary prosthetic and orthotic care for over 30 years to a worldwide clientele.
David’s clinical specialties include cranial molding helmets, spinal orthotics and lower limb prosthetic and orthotic solutions. He is particularly adept in applying triplanar management of the lower in orthotics and the prosthetic expression and utility of microprocessor prosthetic componentry in its appropriate application. His facility has been an integral team member since the inception of the prestigious Center of Excellence Charcot-Marie Tooth/Hereditary Neuropathy Center at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
Mr. Parada earned a Bachelor of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics from California State University Dominguez Hills in 2000 and is an American Board Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO). He has been providing orthotic and prosthetic care to the Westside Communities of Los Angeles for nearly 20 years. His goal is to excel in patient care and provide optimal prosthetic and orthotic services to a wide array of patient populations. Mr. Parada’s approach is to enhance his patients’ function, restore mobility and maximize their potential.
Orthotically, Mr. Parada has obtained additional training and certification in cranial remolding orthoses, stance control orthoses and dynamic response ankle-foot orthotic systems. Prosthetically, he has additional certifications in microprocessor knee units, elevated vacuum componentry and CAD/CAM technology.
When away from work, Rudy enjoys spending time with his family and travelling. He partakes in a variety of sporting activities and is always on the look-out for the next delightful gastronomic experience.
Laura Pineda graduated from Los Angeles ORT College in 2012 with an Associate’s Degree in Medical Office Management. She has been in the Medical Field just over 4 years. She worked alongside a Chiropractor for 3 years. Laura started with Prosthetic & Orthotic Group in 2017 as a Patient Service Coordinator for the Los Angeles Office. She is passionate about the Healthcare field and in putting in her small grain of salt in helping people. She was raised in Portland, Oregon and is a proud owner of two dogs (Joey & Nana).
