Mrs. Gonzalez obtained a Master’s degree in orthotics and prosthetics at California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) in 2015. Concurrent with her classes, she worked as a research assistant at the Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in Long Beach, California. Prior to her matriculation from CSUDH, Mrs. Gonzalez’s research on transfemoral gait was chosen to be presented at the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) national meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mrs. Gonzalez then went on to complete both her orthotic and prosthetic residencies at Prosthetic and Orthotic Group in southern California. She now works as a clinical practitioner, specializing in pediatrics and cranial remolding orthoses in both the Signal Hill and Torrance office locations. Mrs. Gonzalez is also credentialed at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) and is a part-time instructor at the orthotic and prosthetic master’s program at CSUDH.
